Do You Get Side-tracked Easily?

Have you ever found yourself trying to do many things at once? It is a common problem.
When you have children, it is customary at certain times of the day to be doing more than one thing at once. Well, it might seem like this is the case, but in reality, you can only do one thing at a time and give it your absolute attention.

There are teenagers who claim they are doing more than one thing at the same time, like breathing, twitching their eye, writing with one hand and using the other to play with their hair, and tapping their toes while listening to their headset and watching TV.

Positive Thinking - How To Cultivate Change

I’ve got some white powder…

What comes to mind when you read that? I found it very perplexing one day as my family was traveling in the mountains with another family on vacation. We were at the RV dump preparing to hit the road for the 6-hour journey home, when I realized that I was fresh out of baby formula. My girlfriend’s youngest was also a baby, and so she had just what I needed.

Guidelines For Developing Good Affirmations

Affirmation is a very powerful tool that can be used to change the mindset of a person. It can transform negative and destructive thoughts to positive and beneficial ones. But in order to affect the subconscious, affirmations should follow this guideline.

Present form

The first thing to remember is that the positive affirmation must be in the present form. As long as man desires a particular action and achieve a particular goal, then there will always be a need to influence the subconscious mind. And if you want to make your affirmation effective, there is no better time to start than “now”.

The Pursuit Of Happiness

If you had a choice to be really “smart” but extremely “unhappy”, what would you choose? What if you had the choice to be “not so smart” but extremely happy! Would you choose that? Some people would rather be “smart” than happy. This is unfortunate because, usually, we find out that they were not really that smart to begin with. In fact, many people believe that happiness is just for morons. They might tell you that anybody with half a brain can see that the world is full of lots of problems and there really is not any reason to be incredibly “happy” about anything. Is not that true? Actually, it is not.

Karma And Hinduism - The Universe Is With And Around You

Karma and Hinduism have a long relationship and meaning together. This is because karma is basically a Sanskrit word that means action and duty. So having originated from India, karma and Hinduism have a strong bondage.

According to Hindu belief, it is said that the good and evil a person does is returned to the person. In other words, we tend to reap whatever we sow. During your lifetime, whatever negative and positive energies you experience, you are sure to experience the same feelings after some time.

Lifes Challenges - Meeting Them With Grace And Ease

Sometimes we are presented with challenges in life and we do not always know why they exist. We only feel the fear, the sadness, the pain. But history has shown us again and again that humans have the capacity to rise to great heights when faced with adversity. Although it may not seem like it at this time, you are blessed, because on this journey you are learning the lessons that some take a lifetime to learn. And you are teaching others every day. Perhaps now you are wondering what you are teaching anyone? Well, let me share with you that people connect with you, either in person or from afar, and they are affected in some way, shape or form by either the quality of your interaction or your non-interaction. Ask yourself this: If someone were to see my life on the big screen would the boldness with which I embrace my path in life be inspiring? What steps am I not taking, and why? How can I be a model of courage and a guiding light for others in times of their need.

The Nature Of Being In New Spirituality

What is the nature of New Spirituality? - Is it simply the difference between “doing” - as in the work we do, and “being” - as in our current state of consciousness? Or could there be a deeper meaning to “being”, which also takes in our “sponsoring belief” systems?

When we talk about our “being”, this is even finer than our “nature”. What do I mean by our “nature”? An example: every type of plant in the garden has its own “nature”, which is expressed through the genes of that plant - the factors that determine the texture, shape and colour of the leaves and flowers. The human body has its own gene system, which determines our “nature” and sets the shape and expression of our own body.

More Adventures Of A Buddhist Monk And Nun (part 1 Of 4)

Just when Janet thought that she had cheated death by taking the village cure for typhoid fever, (which worked), death reminded her who was boss out here in the jungles of 1981 Thailand when “visitors” began to frequent her kuti (hut). The deadly snakes crawled into the upper interior roof rafters, remaining hidden until one day she noticed one of them move not far from her head. Then it was a scramble to get out of the hut and holler for help. After a few of these terrifying episodes with monks and nuns racing to her rescue, some villagers kindly removed the snakes from her kuti and trimmed the surrounding trees so the snakes could no longer drop onto her roof.

Stress - The American Status Symbol

Stress - the popular name for the new American status symbol. Everyday conversation is peppered with references to lack of time to accomplish goals, the frustration of poor communication and a general sense that no matter how fast we go, we will not get it all done and no one understands. Defining the word in one sentence is difficult for it is actually the unification of multiple human responses to life into a single concept that nearly everyone experiences. There are very few people who do not know what stress feels like.

Stress Asks You To Step Out Of Time

Aligning ourselves with the theory that the nature of perception causes stress raises many questions and, also, great hope. If the foundation of the stressors in our lives is created by our own mind’s ability to put us into motion, then perhaps we have enough power to stop the creation or, at least, alter it. And so, the next natural question is “How?”
