The Top Causes Of Truck Accidents
Truck drivers frequently are the victim of a bad reputation. They are commonly seen as being reckless individuals who gun down smaller cars with their vehicular behemoths. Their 80,000 pound vehicles cover millions of miles a year. They move large quantities of goods every day and are an integral part of commerce in the United States but are still seen as being dangerous. This is most likely due to the unsafe drivers of the past. Trucking companies, in recent years, have improved the safety of 18-wheelers in recent years but there are still an alarming number of accidents. In addition, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration estimates that 1 out of every 20 truck drivers, or 5%, will be involved in accident.
